After failing to bring back Nina, Edward hands back his silver watch and asks to give up his title of State Alchemist rather than be ordered to continue Tucker's research. Meanwhile, Winry arrives to congratulate Ed on becoming State Alchemist, unaware of the serial killer who's still on the loose.
None.
Look closely while Ed is talking to Hughes in the mess hall. Did the animators forget
his hair tie for that one scene? Or is it just not visible due to the angle? Maybe it
went to the same place his gloves did in
episode 04.
I haven't seen the American DVDs to verify, but Yoshida Eri says they've made a mistake. "In Fullmetal Alchemist episode 8 (The Philosopher's Stone) they say Mustang's rank incorrectly in the beginning. At the beginning of the show, when Mustang shows up at the Nina-murder scene and Ed is crying and slamming the wall Al says something to Ed. In the Adult Swim version Al says "Brother, brother the Lieutenant Colonel"(the correct rank), but in the DVD Al says "Brother, brother the Major"(incorrect rank)."
Yuumi Neko writes: "Notice when Barry pushed Winry, she was standing on the floor, but later, she's standing on a stool, where did it come from?"
